The American company has opened a new plant in Russia
More recently, on June 16, 2017, the opening of a new plant in Russia for representatives of the US company - PPG Industries.
The opening was attended by Michael McGarry, chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer of PPG, Jean-Marie Grendl, senior vice president of architectural coatings at PPG and president of PPG EMEA, Jens Braquebusch, general director of PPG in Russia.
Representative of Russia Oleg Korolev, the head of the regional administration, and Ivan Lebedev, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, attended the grand opening.
During the presentation process, the head of the region noted that given the not the best political relations between Russia and the United States at the moment, the enterprise was opened without any difficulties in Russia.
McGarry added that the construction of the plant lasted 3 years, but the result was worth it.
“We completed the construction of the plant at the right time, as the Russian economy is successfully growing up,” he commented during the conference.
