The paint that cools buildings in the heat was invented in Israel
Israeli company SolCold made a breakthrough when they came up with and released a miracle paint that can filter light and thereby cool the surface of the walls of buildings. In addition, spacecraft and satellites can be painted with paint. This method of cooling using the sun's rays will be much more economical than any other.
In weather with high temperatures, people are accustomed to saving themselves with air conditioners, but this affects the amount of money spent on paying the electricity bill. SolCold specialists have found an alternative cooling method in which electricity is not required.
The technology of this method is based on the principle of laser cooling. A ray of light falling on a special coating reduces the temperature to 150 ° C, due to the fact that photons are absorbed by the molecules of the material. These elementary particles, which are identical in frequency with the molecules, re-emit high-frequency photons, and they carry more energy. Energy is lost, and with it the temperature of the substance drops.
Installing lasers on the roof is impractical, which is why the developers applied this technology to sunlight. Building cooling will continue as long as the sun shines.
However, not all so simple. There is a problem with a wide range of sunlight compared to a laser beam. Scientists have found a way out and developed a material that can scatter light. The invented paint has two layers. The first filters sunlight, and the second promotes the conversion of heat into light. Thus, the temperature decreases until it drops below atmospheric air.
Under experimental conditions, it was found that cooling occurs better on metal material than on concrete or houses with a low ceiling.
Not everyone can afford such paint, its cost is $ 300 per 100 m2. However, it is quite in demand by huge industrial complexes, shopping centers, etc. In addition, paint can be used to lower the temperature inside spacecraft.
