In the US state of Colorado will begin to collect old paint

Old paint

The state non-profit organization PaintCare has announced the start of a project to recycle paints that have not been used in the household and are about to expire.

It is known that most owners acquire paint for the future, with a margin, so sometimes a noticeable amount of paints and varnishes is unused and unnecessary. PaintCare offers centralized recycling of materials that will be handed over at selected state collection points. On an initiative basis, about 100 tons have already been utilized. To facilitate this project, State Governor John Hickerluper decided that paint sellers who did not express a desire to participate in the project would not receive bonuses, especially for architectural paints.

The calculations showed that the price of paint, taking into account the costs of processing, will increase slightly, but at the same time, the proper level of environmental protection will be observed.

A list of places has been published where you can donate old paint for free and at the same time get a discount on a new product that is developed by local businessmen.

Colorado is the eighth state in the United States to adopt a similar program for recycling old paints.
