A new line for the production of hardeners for epoxy varnishes is being prepared for launch in Ludwigshafen, Germany. The newly built production belongs to the world famous brand BASF, which almost completely controls the German market for profile products.

The board of BASF has issued a message stating that the decision to expand the company's production capacity was caused by the ever-growing demand for epoxy varnishes. As you know, they are distinguished by the strength of adhesion, suitable for mechanized application to metal surfaces.

The construction in Ludwigshafen was preceded by serious battles between entrepreneurs and representatives of the Greenpeace movement in Germany. The latter believe that a new chemical production in this South German city will drastically worsen the environment and may contribute to the pollution of the nearby Rhine.

Numerous studies were required, which confirmed a sufficient degree of environmental cleanliness of the new production. The company in Ludwigshafen will be part of BASF's facilities, which will be engaged in the release of a new line of Basonat products from this brand.
