Gorbachev was born in 1931 in the Stavropol Territory. The childhood of the future president cannot be called carefree - since the age of 13 he has been helping mom and dad by working on the collective farm. At first, the boy worked as a laborer, then he was promoted to assistant combine operator.
In 1950, Mikhail Sergeyevich graduated from school and entered the law faculty of Moscow State University. It was training in a renowned institution that played a key role in the formation of a famous politician. Here he met with the basics of political science and joined the CPSU.
After graduating from Moscow State University, Gorbachev received the post of first secretary of the Komsomol city committee of the Stavropol Territory. After the collapse of the USSR, Mikhail Sergeyevich resigned as president. He vacated an apartment in the center of the capital with his wife and daughter.
