Daria Dontsova is a famous Russian writer, TV presenter, screenwriter. She is the author of more than a hundred books, which are published in huge print runs. Fans are often interested in where Daria Dontsova lives and how her home is arranged. The big house Daria Dontsova and her family built about 3 years. When choosing a place, attention was paid to environmental friendliness, remoteness from traffic jams and major roads, as well as comfort. These are the requirements that the Sherwood village in New Riga met. The writer acquired a ready-made development project, after which she independently adapted it in accordance with the wishes of her family.
House Dontsova includes many rooms of different sizes. The kitchen, living room, dining room and room of the au pair are on the ground floor; bathroom, study and library - on the second, as well as bedrooms, guest rooms. The third floor is reserved for a dressing room and another bathroom, and the attic is entirely owned by the daughter of the writer.

Externally, the mansion of Daria Dontsova resembles an old castle or cathedral in the Italian style. The house has no elaborate details, although it is memorable and quite original in appearance. Enough attention was paid to landscape design, so the area around the building is carefully thought out: there are walkways, recreation areas and gazebos, flowerbeds, alpine slides.
The interior of the cottage is directly related to the passion of Daria Dontsova - her love for pugs. Even at the entrance you can see the Mops House sign, and the interiors are literally filled with images of these dogs, their photos, figurines, embroideries. The writer Dontsova has long been collecting such products, and also contains pug pets that get along well with each other and with the cat.

The mansion of Daria Dontsova is decorated in classic colors: calm and soft. In the general decoration, brown, grayish, beige and milky shades prevail. The kitchen is furnished with beautiful furniture made of solid wood, complemented by modern appliances in metallic color. A large domed hood, glued with images of dogs, was also made of stainless steel. A light countertop perfectly complements the brown facades of the kitchen. The modesty of the kitchen is somewhat diluted with red and blue potholders, spatulas, and coasters.
The living room and dining room in Dontsova’s house are combined, resulting in a rather spacious room for receiving guests and family vacations. In the center of the room is a large table with a beautiful checkered tablecloth and palace-style chairs with soft fabric upholstery.Light beige walls are an excellent backdrop for paintings and photo pugs in golden frames, in good harmony with carved doors and furniture.
The library is also decorated in the classic style: there are walnut shelves and cabinets, lush armchairs with a delicate floral print, pillows with pug images. The whole door to the library and some of the walls are framed in bulk with paintings of dogs.
The office of the writer is designed in a simple style: there is nothing superfluous, only what is required for work. Periodically, Dontsova writes in the bedroom, while instead of a computer, she uses a pen and paper. The walls of the bedroom are decorated with portraits of pugs, on the bed are soft toys and pillows stylized for the “Pug House”. On the shelves of furniture there are statuettes that the author collects, and their total number already exceeds two thousand.

The writer owns a small apartment in Moscow, located in an elite building, previously owned by the Union of Writers of the Russian Federation. Here lived the grandparents of Daria, who also wrote books. Dontsova made major repairs in the apartment, turning it into a comfortable modern home, although her daughter Maria made a great contribution to the design.
During the redevelopment, some walls were demolished, as a result, a large entrance hall was formed. Part of the corridor went to the arrangement of the dressing room, and two small rooms connected into one living-dining room. The apartment also has one bedroom and a study.
The dwelling does not have a single style, but it includes many unusual things and interesting decor. The lighting system deserves special attention: in the kitchen, a lamp in the form of many glasses gives light, in the bedroom - a pumpkin lamp, in the living room - gold and silver shades hanging from the ceiling, as well as a lamp in the form of a bin on the floor. Of the unique decorative elements can also be noted:
- a vinyl cat hanging on an air conditioner;
- Bunny jumping on the table;
- armchairs and chairs of different colors;
- images of balloons on the tiles;
- pictures of piglets around outlets;
- tile in the form of bookshelves in the restroom;
- paintings with cats.
Daria Dontsova and her daughter prefer to equip their homes with their own hands, bringing in it a unique charm and real home comfort. Zest and unusual details are what distinguishes the writer’s house and apartment from standard solutions and many modern design projects.
