Prospects for the joint Russian-Kazakh production of coatings
Having made a business visit to Astana, the chairman of the board of OJSC Rusnano A. Chubais announced plans for cooperation with specialized enterprises of Kazakhstan with the aim of creating new technologies for the production of paints and varnishes.
The businessman said that the innovative enterprise Metaclay, already existing in Russia, has developed and produces a line of products that are successfully used for the purpose of anticorrosive protection of pipelines that transport oil and gas. Similar potential customers exist in Kazakhstan. It was in this connection that Anatoly Chubais mentioned the Power of Siberia pipeline, part of which runs through Kazakhstan.
In the process of signing promising business documents on mutual cooperation, A. Chubais invited his colleagues to familiarize themselves with the practice of producing anti-corrosion coatings at the enterprises of the Rostransneft system owned by Rusnano. There, the businessman emphasized, you can extract a lot of useful things and use this in future developments.
Recall that 5 years ago, the market capacity of anticorrosive coatings based on powder materials exceeded 5 billion rubles. A new joint project is able to significantly raise this bar.
