These mixtures are produced in dry, liquid or pasty form and differ in the following types:

  • Universal - the most common adhesive composition that can be used for all types of repairs. Typically, this type of glue is used for small tiles.
  • Reinforced - designed for laying tiles of large dimensions, as it is characterized by increased adhesion and immunity to static and dynamic loads of any duration. That is, if it is assumed that many people will constantly walk on the tile or heavy furniture will be installed on it, reinforced tile adhesive will come in handy.
  • Moisture resistant - It is necessary for laying tiles in rooms with a high level of humidity or where it will constantly come into contact with water. So, for example, it is advisable to use just such tile glue in the bathroom or when decorating a country stationary pool. This type of adhesive has waterproofing properties and may include antifungal additives.
  • Frost resistant - tile adhesive for outdoor use and unheated rooms, suitable for tiles of all formats and sizes.

There are a number of highly specialized compositions: tiled glue for underfloor heating, glue for transparent tiles, etc. It is advisable to purchase profile glue - you do not need to use the same type of mixture for walls, ceiling or floor, since these coatings have different loads.
